Shopping in the Smokies

The opportunities for retail therapy in Gatlinburg are nearly endless! There are specialty shops, souvenir shops, boutiques, shopping centers and malls.

The Village Shops: The iconic Village Shops in downtown Gatlinburg features 27 boutique shops and eateries in a quaint, European-style setting. You can easily spend an entire afternoon shopping and enjoying a bite to eat or a steamy cup of coffee. You’ll also want to be sure to take lots of photos of yourself in the famous telephone booth, in front of the fountain or atop the ‘horse.’

Wood Signs of Gatlinburg: Visit their shop in downtown Gatlinburg for a souvenir to commemorate your vacation for years to come. Customize your very own cedar or white pine sign for your home, business or garden. Their signs come in all shapes and sizes with a vast selection of border colors, fonts and carved images. They also offer attachable metal plaques and hand-painted artwork.

Gatlinburg Shopping Malls: When your fun things to do including shopping, Gatlinburg has seven shopping centers with 100’s of individual shops and dining areas. These include The Village, Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway Mall, Market Place, Mountain Mall, Baskins Square Mall, Regan Terrace Mall, and Shops at Carousel Gardens.

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park: Walking the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America — the Gatlinburg SkyBridge — is a must! Above all, SkyLift Park is more than just a bridge; it’s a destination you certainly don’t want to miss out on experiencing. The SkyCenter is a mountaintop rest area located on the SkyDeck which boasts panoramic views. There you can relax, dine and browse the gift shop. Opening spring 2021 is scenic walkway called the SkyTrail with connects each of the bridge.

From good ‘ol southern comfort food at local Mom & Pops to Mexican, Italian, and nationally known chains, every food choice imaginable can be found within a few miles of our rental cabins.

Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet: The only place in the Smokies for an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet! All You Can Eat crab legs, raw oysters, shrimp, fish and more. This Pigeon Forge restaurant also serves beer and liquor.

Arts & Crafts

The heart of Gatlinburg is the famous Arts & Crafts Community, the 8-mile loop of art and artists. Follow Glades and Buckhorn Roads to see Appalachian culture and art come to life. You’ll find unique treasures created in wood, leather, clay, wax and paint from over 100 artists. Plan to spend an entire day visiting artists’ galleries and having lunch at a local pub or cafe.
